SENIOR LIVING / PLACEMENT OPTIONS

When it is time for a safe alternative to traditional housing for your loved one. Following a detailed assessment we research and present to you safe communities that fit your needs. You decide which one is the best fit for your situation.
Communities with age restrictions. Simply housing or apartments where you will live near your peers. Activities, housekeeping, and dining may or may not be included.
This is appropriate for seniors that are self-sufficient. Residents do not have serious medical conditions needing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Living in independent apartments of different sizes (studio to two bedroom) residents are able to cook for themselves or maybe eat in a dining room for a predetermined number of meals a day or month. There are many activities and possibly access to exercise rooms, computers, library, church, and salon. Often included in rent will be housekeeping and home maintenance.
This is appropriate for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Commonly provided services are medication management, caregiving services (bathing, dressing, grooming), housekeeping, laundry, meals, activities, home and community maintenance, and access to this care 24 hours a day. Assisted livings can range from small communities with 11 residents to large apartment type communities with hundreds of residents.
Similar to Assisted Living Facilities, this is appropriate for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Commonly provided services are medication management, caregiving services (bathing, dressing, grooming), housekeeping, laundry, meals, activities, home and community maintenance, and access to this care 24 hours a day. Assisted livings care homes (also called Group Homes) are located in residential homes and have 10 or fewer residents.
This is appropriate for seniors who need access to 24 hour nursing care. Usually the residents in these communities have severe medical conditions and need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). At the skilled nursing facility all the services provided by an assisted living community are provided in addition to 24 hour nursing care. As a result this setting can feel more clinical, however when this level of care is necessary please note that activities provided are developed to be accessible to their residents.
This is appropriate for seniors with dementia in need of a secure living environment. If your loved one is a wander risk or does not understand when they may be a danger to themselves this can be an appropriate setting. Services are similar to Assisted Living within a safe locked environment.
Allow aging in place these communities provide independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing and sometimes memory are all on the same campus.
This is appropriate for seniors needing a short term stay in an assisted living community. Often these services are needed when a family caregiver needs a break or to go on vacation, following a change in condition (hospital stay or surgery), or a family is trying out assisted living to see if it may be appropriate for their loved one.
Appropriate for families that can bring needed care into the home, aging in place is simply that. With necessary modifications made to an existing residence paired with care brought to the home, some seniors are able to stay in their own home. From ramps, to bars, to non slip surfaces, doorways expanded, or durable medical equipment installed we can connect you with companies to help you or your loved one stay at home.
